London/ Berlin, 06 June 2026: CDP, the world’s largest independent environmental disclosure system, today announced a strategic partnership with Briink to introduce AI-powered services to help organizations engage more effectively with their environmental disclosures.
The partnership reflects CDP’s continued focus on maintaining the quality, consistency and comparability of global environmental data, while supporting organizations as disclosure requirements expand across markets, sectors and regulatory frameworks. The CDP-Briink partnership represents a deliberate step toward reimagining how disclosure can work in an increasingly complex operating environment.
The demand for high-quality environmental disclosure data to assess risk, resilience and transition-readiness continues at pace. In 2025 alone, over 23,000 organizations representing nearly two thirds of global market capitalization, including over 1,000 cities, states, and regions, disclosed their environmental data through CDP. The new AI-powered tools will support disclosing companies to engage with reporting more efficiently, while preserving the rigour, trust, and comparability that define CDP’s approach.
Sherry Madera, CEO of CDP, said: “CDP was created 25 years ago to bring clarity and comparability to environmental disclosure, and that work has helped shape disclosure practices across global markets. Our partnership with Briink represents the next phase of that journey – harnessing the power of AI to support organizations at scale, increase reporting simplicity, and deliver greater value from Earth-positive decision making.”
Initial phase
The collaboration will help organizations respond to the CDP questionnaire utilizing a new AI-powered disclosure service - leveraging information from existing unstructured documents such as annual reports and sustainability materials.
Suggested responses will be provided directly within the CDP platform. Use of the service will be optional, and organizations will retain full responsibility for reviewing, editing, and submitting their responses. The service is designed to support existing workflows and help teams focus on data quality, consistency, and completeness.
This initial launch represents the first phase of a longer-term program. Over time, CDP and Briink plan to introduce additional capabilities to support preparation, data quality and the effective use of environmental information for decision-making.
Responsible use of artificial intelligence
All AI-supported services introduced through the partnership will be guided by CDP’s commitment to transparency, accountability and responsible innovation. AI will be used to support human judgement, not replace it, and to strengthen the reliability and usability of disclosed information.
By reducing operational complexity, the partnership aims to help organizations devote more time to analyzing and acting on environmental data, supporting better risk management, and more informed strategic decisions.
“Climate disclosure only matters if it leads to action,” said Tomas van der Heijden, CEO and co founder of Briink. “Together with CDP, we’re building the foundations for intelligent disclosure, where AI helps organizations surface insights faster, focus less on administration, and devote more time and energy to driving real world climate outcomes.”
